What is The TRiiBE?

The TRiiBE is a digital media platform that is reshaping the narrative of Black Chicago and giving ownership back to the people. Our original works in journalism and documentary, alongside creative writing and video, capture the multifaceted essence of the Black experience in pursuit of truth and liberation.

Who owns The TRiiBE?

The TRiiBE is a for-profit media company owned by three Black alumni of Northwestern University: Morgan Elise Johnson, Tiffany Walden and David Elutilo.

How can I contact The TRiiBE?

What comes with a newsletter subscription to The TRiiBE?

The TRiiBE offers two (2) newsletters to meet our audience’s needs.

 

The TRiiBE’s Weekly is our free newsletter. By subscribing, our impactful and bold journalism is delivered directly to your email inbox, along with calls to action and a curation of community events.

 

The TRiiBE’s RESHAPE newsletter is available with a subscription starting at $10 a month. By subscribing, you will receive deeper insights on political and other trending topics, along with unique behind-the-scenes perspectives from The TRiiBE team and our community.

Your subscription furthers our mission to cherish and highlight the essence of Black Chicago through meaningful journalism.

How can I subscribe to The TRiiBE’s newsletters?

You can subscribe to our newsletters by entering your email address in the subscription box on our newsletters page.

Why am I not receiving The TRiiBE’s newsletters?

If you are subscribed to one or more of our newsletter offerings, but are not receiving them in your email inbox, please check your spam folder or any email filters that might be redirecting our emails. For additional support, contact us at support@thetriibe.com.

Do I need to manually renew my subscription to The TRiiBE’s RESHAPE newsletter?

If you are subscribed to The TRiiBE’s RESHAPE newsletter, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle. You will receive a renewal notice prior to being charged for your subscription.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

What should I consider before canceling my TRiiBE newsletter subscription?

If you’re canceling due to technical issues or dissatisfaction, we encourage you to contact our support team first. We may be able to resolve your concerns and improve your experience.

How do I cancel my TRiiBE newsletter subscription?

The TRiiBE’s Weekly is our free newsletter offering. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in an previous newsletter email.

The TRiiBE’s RESHAPE newsletter starts at $10 a month. To cancel your subscription, take the following steps:

  1. Log into your subscription account
  2. Click “Subscriptions” from the dashboard
  3. Click “Cancel”

 

Click The TRiiBE “T” icon depicted in the above images. A pop-up will appear that will allow you to login into your account. Once logged in, you can view your subscription details by clicking “Manage Subscriptions” under “My Account.” Click here for more information.

Can I reactivate my TRiiBE newsletter subscriptions at a later date?

Yes, you can rejoin The TRiiBE’s Weekly newsletter by filling out the sign-up form on our Newsletters page or any of our call-to-actions.

Yes, you can reactivate The TRiiBE’s RESHAPE newsletter by doing the following: 

  1. Log into your subscription account from our website
  2. Click “Subscriptions” from the dashboard
  3. Click “Reactivate”

Please note, that you can only reactivate your subscription if you’ve canceled it during a pre-paid term. If your pre-paid term ends before you try to reactivate, you must purchase a new subscription.

For example, if your monthly subscription renewed on May 5th and you decided to cancel your subscription on May 15th, you have until April 5th (the end of your renewed term) to reactivate your subscription. Otherwise, you must purchase a new one.

We'd love to welcome you back and offer you uninterrupted access to our newsletter content.

Does The TRiiBE offer refunds for newsletter cancellations?

We are committed to ensuring our subscribers are satisfied with their experience. However, we do not offer refunds for newsletter subscription cancellations.
