On Thursday, Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced Bally’s Corporation as the winning casino bid for the city’s sole casino license.
The casino will be located in the River West area at the Chicago Tribune’s Publishing Center on North Halsted Street and West Chicago Avenue.
The $1. 7 billion casino project will also include a theater that would seat 3,000, a 500-room luxury hotel that would open with 100 rooms and a Riverwalk extension.
