Dion McGill, 7th District Councilor
is a lifelong Chicagoan, Army veteran, former public school teacher, and elected District Councilor for Chicago's 7th Police District. He previously worked in gun violence prevention and public health through organizations including the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence and Lurie Children's Hospital's Strengthening Chicago's Youth initiative. McGill currently works in nonprofit communications and marketing and writes frequently on public safety, youth engagement, policing, and community power in Chicago.
