In an effort to corral support for his threats to send military forces to Chicago, President Donald Trump said on Aug. 22 that “African American ladies, beautiful ladies” are “screaming” for him to come to Chicago.
“They’re wearing red hats… African American ladies, beautiful ladies, they’re saying, ‘please, President Trump. Come to Chicago,’” Trump told a room full of reporters.
So, we thought: let’s ask them.
The TRiiBE Team walked around Chicago’s West Side and asked the following questions:

- Do you wear the red hat
- Have you been screaming for President Trump to come to Chicago?
- There’s been reports that Trump is going to send military forces here. How do you feel about that?
