As we all know, recreational marijuana has been legal in Illinois for more than two years now, dating back to January 1, 2020. Soon after, the global COVID-19 pandemic stopped all social gatherings. So we haven’t really seen what Chicago truly looks like on the 4/20 holiday just yet.
Now that all the COVID-19 restrictions are gone, this year gives all marijuana enthusiasts the opportunity to gather and celebrate the green holiday.
Here’s a look at a few events for 4/20 in the city. Don’t forget to smoke safely, and that public consumption of marijuana is not permitted in Chicago.
1. Paint & Sip: Battle of the Snoops On 420
Go to Time Out Market in the West Loop on April 20 for your ideal paint and sip scenario. Located at 916 W. Fulton Market, attendees can paint a picture of hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg.
