“We Real Chicago” is TRiiBE TV’s weekly arts and entertainment show hosted by TRiiBE cultural correspondent Rome J.

Queen Key doesn’t intend on laying off her raunchy lyrics just because she’s a mother of triplets — instead, she joked with TRiiBE TV’s Rome J. about being a milf now. Trust, she’ll be staying true to herself, and her fans, with the new music she has on the way.

All Eyez on Key will be coming soon,” Queen Key announced on the “We Real Chicago” show.

On Sept. 10, Rome J. chopped it up with Queen Key about touring with G Herbo, new music, motherhood and dating. She also gave The TRiiBE a behind-the-scenes peek into her triplet’s half birthday party.

Known for her sense of humor and unapologetic lyrics, Queen Key knows who she is, and her music reflects that independence.  With hit singles like “My Way,” “Hit a Lic,” and “Baked As a Pie, she’s always shown a confident defiance in her lyrics.

Her life changed in March, when the rapper welcomed triplets — Krown, Kash and Kreative. The news of the pregnancy and public fallout between her and her children’s father, Chicago rapper 600 Breezy, dominated social media and hip hop blogs. Since then, Queen Key has launched a Youtube series, Key Plus Three — inspired by the 2000s reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 — and given us a glimpse into her life as a single mom.

Rome J. also spoke with Marishonta Wilkerson, co-director of the Illinois Census Office, who joined the show to bust some myths about the 2020 Census and tell us why it’s important to be counted.
